Corporate Storytelling Course
Clear, concise technical presentations
Teams that can present technical concepts clearly and simply, achieve more.
It’s much easier for our clients to buy ideas when we can make them simple. Teams that are good at delivering technical presentations have stronger client relationships and larger sales figures!
This delivering technical presentations training course is focused on supporting your teams to develop the skills to present complex and difficult topics in a clear, concise and engaging way.

What does the technical presentations course include?
The session is designed to ensure that your team recognise when technical presentation content needs to be adapted to help us achieve our goals, as well as supporting them to discover the key skills required to clearly explain technical concepts to any audience.
Specifically, expect your team to understand:
- What makes information difficult to understand and remember
- Why so many experts are poor communicators
- When to keep it simple, and when to go in-depth
- 7 techniques used by the greatest speakers to make the complex, clear.
Who is the technical presentations course designed for?
This course is really useful for anyone that has to regularly communicate technical and complex concepts to a novice audience.
This course provides lots of value for everyone from teams of technical engineers right through to sales teams that need to explain complex products, services and concepts to customers.
Often, the most productive groups are a mix of deeply technical staff and their peers from other departments. The combination of the different focuses from the two groups provides an excellent base for exploring the topic.

"One of the best, if not the best course I can remember attending and I look forward to the next two sessions. I wish I had the opportunity to do this years ago!"

How we go further to provide the very best learning experience...
We support you with lots of added value to make the learning as effective as possible. It's like having your own Learning and Development department within your own organisation. This is all included within the standard rate for a day of training.
Pre-session research and measurement
Before the session all participants will receive a short research survey that aims to understand their current confidence, feelings and skill levels when speaking. This may be followed-up with 1:1 interviews.
This supports us to further tailor the session content and facilitation style to the learners’ needs. It also provides an initial competence and confidence baseline to allow us to measure the the effectiveness of this learning experience.

Refinement of session content and pre-work
The research outcomes will be reported back to you, along with any suggestions for content refinement to accommodate the learners’ needs.
Two weeks ahead of the training session, the learners will be issued with their pre-work via email. We will be on hand to support them via email or video call, if required.

Personalised feedback after the session
After the session, every learner will receive a unique feedback and development pack. Included will be video copies of any presentations from the training day, detailed notes and practical tips and advice for developing their skills further.
Links will also be provided to book 1:1 sessions and access a library of additional resources.

Follow-up coaching
As part of this training, every learner receives a 60 minute online coaching session with Rich. This coaching session is usually most effective at the point when the learners come to use their new skills in reality. We will report back to you on the outcomes after learners have had their coaching session.
A library of resources
All learners have access to all of the materials, worksheets and content from our sessions PLUS infographics, videos and articles on all areas of public speaking.

Measurement and reporting
We will ask learners to report on their perceived confidence and competence directly after the training session and three months later too. Line managers and peers will be encouraged to feedback as well. The results of this measurement will be reported back to you, providing a clear overview of the perceived effectiveness of this learning intervention.
